Smart-System Survey & Installation Terms
Version 1.0 · effective Tue, 6 Oct 2026
These terms apply to CCTV, access control, smart locks, smart doorbells and intercoms, electric fencing, networking and home automation projects, in addition to our Terms of Service.
- Survey commitment fee. The fee shown when you book secures a qualified technician's visit, a full site survey, a system design and a detailed written quotation.
- Credit. The fee is credited in full to the installation price if you proceed with JMG within the quotation's validity period.
- Rescheduling and cancellation. Before the survey you may reschedule once free of charge, or cancel for a refund less KES 2,000 administration. Once the survey has been carried out, the fee pays for that completed service and is non-refundable.
- Confidential designs. Survey reports, drawings and quotations are JMG's confidential intellectual property, provided only to help you decide on the installation. They may not be handed to third parties for execution.
- Installation payments. A 50% deposit schedules the installation, and the balance is due when you approve the completed, tested system.
- Site responsibilities. You must provide safe access, a stable power supply where required, and any landlord, estate or county approvals the installation needs.
- Compliance. Electrical and electric-fence work is carried out by appropriately qualified and, where the law requires, licensed personnel, in line with applicable Kenyan standards.
- Privacy and lawful use. You are responsible for using cameras and recordings lawfully: place cameras so they do not intrude on neighbours' private spaces, display notices where required, and protect footage in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019.
- Warranty. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty. JMG workmanship is warranted for the period stated on your quotation, and at least 6 months.
