Fine-Art Bidding Terms

  1. Who may bid. Bidders need a verified account and phone number. JMG staff may not bid.
  2. Binding bids. Each bid must beat the leading bid by at least the stated increment, and every bid is a binding offer to buy.
  3. Winning. The leading bid wins if no higher bid is placed for 7 consecutive days, or another period shown on the lot, subject to any reserve price and the auction end date.
  4. Payment. The winner must pay in full within 72 hours. If not, JMG may offer the piece to the next highest bidder and suspend the defaulting bidder.
  5. Privacy. Bidders are shown publicly only as "Bidder 1", "Bidder 2" and so on.
